The West Wing: "365 Days"

I don't know if it's just sheer escapism (Martin Sheen for president!), but lately The West Wing has been very, very good. Last night's episode featured some sharp writing and a well-constructed plot in which a number of situations -- Leo's return to duty, hostages in Bolivia, the State of the Union speech -- were tied together pretty neatly. It's a welcome change from the usual sweeps slop, and gives me reason to believe that the rest of the season will be smart, sophisticated fare. I just hope the episode theme doesn't mean that time is running out on the show as well ...

Technorati: ,

I'll have to try the show again. the last couple years it seemed to lose steam which was too bad since it is such a smart show.
