Just a couple of corrections to that article:

While the Goodridge decision was handed down in 2003, it didn't go into effect until May 2004. At that point same sex marriage was legally recognized.

Massachusetts no longer requires the blood test or offer of AIDS information prior to obtaining a marriage license.

They would still have had to lie about living or intending to live in the state, and either wait 3 days to get the license or get a waiver from a judge.
