Red Sox quote of the day

"Obviously, they were expecting a shutout, but, sorry, my bad."

Pitcher David Wells, who was booed after giving up a two-run double during his rehab start for Pawtucket Friday night. He gave up seven runs over five innings of work, which was still better than Orioles pitcher Daniel Cabrera (seven runs over 1 1/3 innings, in Friday's loss to the Sox) or the Rangers' R.A. Dickey (six homers in a loss to Detroit).
